An 8-bit I/O bus, equivalent to GPIO in Arduino-type microcontrollers. It can function as a parallel communication port. Ports are controllable with simple IN and OUT commands in BASIC.

Each card can have a programmed address from 0-255, set via an 8-bit DIP switch on the board. Multiple cards can be daisy-chained, each with a unique I/O address.

The card serves as a platform for other MUMIO devices.

What is MUMIO?
MUMIO are Arduino-equivalent peripherals adapted for control from a ZX Spectrum. These can include sensors, displays, motors, servos, relays, joystick interfaces, clocks, UART, USB, I2C, SPI interfaces, and many, many more…

MUMIO devices are installed on the I/O card (dev. #00), connected to the ZX Spectrum’s edge connector.
